BIRD hosts and develops a number of educational programmes. These programmes include the enhanced training of healthcare professionals through conferences, talks and workshops. The Institute also aims to help inform patients and the general public about rheumatic diseases and related conditions.

Education for the general public

The Institute is committed to helping to encourage greater public awareness of bone and joint diseases. It is also committed to helping patients, their friends, family and work colleagues understand their condition. As such the BIRD has set up a number of public lectures and patient information events.
