At BIRD we aim to give patients the opportunity and confidence to become involved in rheumatology research projects. Throughout the year, through our mailing list and social media, we post research questionnaires or invites to become involved in projects. Also, Researchers approach BIRD for help and advice on engagement in research with patient priority in mind. To help tell the story of our involvement in research we’ve curated two case studies to showcase our work. 1 from the perspective of a patient involved in research, and 1 from a researchers perspective.
