Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution, Saturday 25th March, 2023
The University of Bath, in conjunction with the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases (RNHRD), GW4, and the Bath Institute for Rheumatic Diseases (BIRD), is hosting a Research Showcase Open Day for patients with rheumatic diseases, members of the public, and BA Early Career Researchers who might be interested in getting involved in rheumatic disease research. This event will highlight the research which is currently ongoing into rheumatic diseases between the University and the Hospital and aims to bring members of the public and patients together with the people carrying out research, as well as allowing Early Career Researchers to exchange ideas and discuss future research proposals.
The meeting will be attended by Professor Raj Sengupta, Consultant Rheumatologist specialising in axial spondyloarthritis, and several other prominent research clinicians. Other disease areas include rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, psoriatic arthritis, connective tissue diseases including lupus, and vasculitis. There will be several interactive workshops available to attend on the day, with scientific posters and stands where people can talk directly to researchers and ask them questions about their work.
This event is open to anyone, you don’t need to be a patient at the RNHRD, although you do need to register to attend. There are 50 spaces available:
